I have studied abroad in ten countries.
I was invited to study abroad with Rutgers University. The course was two and a half weeks in Southeast Asia: Hong Kong, Thailand and Vietnam. Each country required an in-depth analysis based on the Political, Economic, Social and Technological (PESTL) aspects. At the end of our experience, my team's assignment was to create a strategic plan to take an existing firm and bring it to one of the three we chose. I wrote a SWOT analysis for India based I.T. solutions firm, Intelligroup for entering Hong Kong.
This was my first time ever traveling outside of the country. It was the second time I ever flew on a plane.
After returning from my incredible adventure, I had become a different person entirely. I learned that there was so much more to see and to do. That was when I caught the travel bug. It was thanks to these short yet immersive trips abroad was I able to learn and enjoy so much of the world.
When someone asks (which happens often) what my favorite country is, Brazil is my top travel destination. I also add that each country has its own unique quality that made it worth visiting.
